Have you ever wondered what it would be like to get back to the simplicity of your roots? If your roots weren’t as simplistic like mine, have you ever daydreamed what it would be like? Even though there is much that happens in our lives, getting back to what matters is good for the soul! A couple years ago we moved from the burbs to a very small farming town and I get to live this simplicity I have daydreamed about for years.
In Angela Correll’s debut book, Grounded, Annie is forced to get back to where she came from. At first she is resistent to the quietness of rural life on the old family farm. Once she settles in, she falls in love with the land she was so quick to escape from. Not only does the land capture her heart, but she begins to have feelings for an old friend. When she gets a call from her old boss, Annie has to decide if she is prepared to leave the grandmother and land she has a renewed a love for.
Grounded is a light read that will leave a smile on your face, and yearning for the uncomplicated life of farm living. If you start to look into moving, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I give this book !
